Welcome to the “SIMPLE MOMENTS” Collection

by Glenn W. Hoffman

... unfiltered photography of the simplest, most ordinary moments in life, each capturing a singular moment of pure beauty. Yet moments that feel personal, as if you were invited into a private story...

Whether seaside or sunsets, in some of the most beautiful places on earth or in his own backyard, Glenn consistently stunned with what he saw through his own lens — a lens not just in his camera, but in his approach to life.

Not trying to be perfect, just to capture the moment he saw. Uncomplicated. Authentic. Real.
Yet somehow perfect anyway.

THE BELIEF
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take.
But by the moments that take our breath away.
"

-Maya Angelou

So, who was Glenn W. Hoffman?

My husband, Glenn, was a lifelong creative spirit who inspired positive CHANGE throughout his life by tapping into human emotion and challenging convention with his talent, authenticity, and humility.

Throughout his life, Glenn’s creative gift was in his ability to CREATE CHANGE – both emotional and behavioral. Especially though his lens. But his lens was in more than just his camera — it was in the entire way he approached creativity... and LIVING.  Seeing anything thru Glenn’s lens made it mean even more, because it was not only visually beautiful, but seemed to tell a story of a moment that invited you in...

From prestigious Pratt Institute ('68) to accolades at Madison Avenue's renowned Ogilvy & Mather, to his own marketing agency, Glenn brought positive CHANGE to whatever he touched.

By tapping into pure human emotions, his professional ad campaigns, plus personal paintings, drawings, and especially photography, created emotional and behavioral CHANGE — in people, places and organizations! His fierce independence and intolerance for limitations led him to create his own successful company, GW Hoffman Marketing, bringing awarding-winning business results to some of the biggest brands nationwide for over 35 years, through intelligent, emotionally evocative, rule-breaking creativity!

THE REALITY
"Home is not a place. It's a feeling."

-Cecelia Ahern
SIMPLE MOMENTS: The Possibilites

Glenn’s creative mastery extended beyond cameras and paint brushes – he also helped design and decorate some of the most stunning homes you could imagine! No matter the style, his hallmark qualities were beauty, warmth and storytelling.

Especially on the walls.

It was there that his love for the authentic, but often over-overlooked moments in life, was best showcased in his beautifully evocative photos and artwork. Not tucked away in an album, they graced walls and tabletops in real life.

I believe they still should. I believe they should be where they can continue to bring emotion, beauty and JOY.

Unfinished Story

With his passing, Glenn entrusted me with the entire body of his works
... from around the world and our own backyards. Because wherever he went, he had his “lens” at the ready! This included...

The Coastal Connecticut Shoreline • Rainbows & Sunsets • Seaside vistas of all kinds • Amsterdam • Normandy • Lake Como • Ireland • The Greek Islands • Jackson Hole • The solitude of the US Southwest ... plus Egypt, Thailand, Tahiti, Turkey and more!

So now I work to honor him and his legacy via ...

Thru Glenn’s Lens™ — my charitable nonprofit born out of love and loss.

On Christmas Day 2023, Glenn W. Hoffman, my best friend of 42 years, beyond loved husband of almost 23, and extraordinary creative talent, unexpectedly passed on to his next chapter. And along with a million happy memories, I was left with a treasure trove of his work — especially photography — that had always had an incredible ability to tell stories and evoke emotions in anyone who experienced it. Kind of like Emotional Support Photography!

So, to ensure his impact lived on, I created Thru Glenn’s Lens. To share his beautiful creativity with the world. And to do some GOOD, like he did. His whole life.

My promise is that no matter how I share his works, 100% of all profits will be dedicated to the mission of the Thru Glenn’s Lens Foundation, and to awarding the “Glenn W. Hoffman Innovation & Creativity” Visual Arts Scholarship annually, to help foster tomorrow’s aspiring creative talents.

Now you see why friends & family have asked to have his photos framed for their homes. By the droves!

So I thought, maybe, just maybe, his photo memories could bring happiness and beauty to even more?
